AmeriCares

AmeriCares Humanitarian OrganizationAs a non-profit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, AmeriCares provides immediate response to emergency medical needs, as well as supporting long-term humanitarian assistance programs for all people around the world, irrespective of race, creed or political persuasion. AmeriCares solicits donations of medicines, medical supplies and other relief materials from U.S. and international manufacturers, and delivers them quickly and efficiently to indigenous health care and welfare professionals around the world.

AmeriCares HomeFront

AmeriCares HomeFrontAmeriCares HomeFront is the largest domestic outreach program of the AmeriCares Foundation. Since its beginning 18 years ago, HomeFront has restored Hope and given Help to over 2,150 families and community centers throughout the state of Connecticut and into Westchester and Putnam counties, New York. This effort, to help our needy neighbors, is centered on an annual one day a year housing repair blitz in which teams of 20-40 volunteers go out into the community and perform typical home repairs that keep people "warm, safe, and dry.

We will be hosting a Wine and Cheese Network Party sponsored by Baccarat Crystal and homeresourceguide.com on Saturday, March 4 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Invitations will be extended to all exhibitors and to prominent area designers, decorators, architects and builders.

Americares will be hosting a silent auction to benefit its HomeFront program at the reception.

They work with professional, insured contractors who carefully remove and transport your donated items and building materials. This service is currently being utilized by area homeowners and businesses including architects, kitchen designers, builders, contractors, interior designers and realtors.
